POSITION: Fund Development Specialist
JOB TYPE: Full-time

Under the direction of the Administration & Programming Manager and the Chief Executive Officer, the Fund Development Specialist will be responsible for leading key fundraising activities such as grant identification, completion, and submission as well as donor stewardship and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the activities related to campaign and event planning, prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
- Identify, execute, and follow-up on grant opportunities
- Lead the development and implementation of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies;
- Manage the donor database system;
- Liaise with and provide professional support to campaign volunteers to ensure timely and well-executed solicitation activity;
- Generate customized campaign and financial reports;
- Accurately maintain and oversee the tracking system on campaign activities;
- Develop proposals and presentations to support Campaign leadership asks;
- Manage a portfolio of donor prospects in addition to supporting Campaign leadership with their donor relations;
- Manage all activities related to campaign meetings, donor events and monitoring of recognition and sponsorship benefits;
- Develop a robust long-term fundraising plan to expand our base of support and establish a sustainable annual revenue program.
- Work with collaterals and develop partnerships with community resources.
- Develop relationship with media outlets and identify and execute opportunities for media coverage
- Complete necessary administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years fundraising experience with demonstrated achievement in all key aspects of fund development, especially: capital campaigns, major gifts, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Direct experience working on a campaign and a strong strategic mindset, combined with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of a campaign.
- Proven experience in prospect development, management and stewardship;
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Familiarity with e-Tapestry and/or Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Proven ability to prepare and present brief but accurate and comprehensive reports or presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment, maintains a positive frame of mind and sets an example of professionalism for others.
