OUTREACH

Our multi-disciplinary team provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Mental health disorders or challenges include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Behavioral Disorders

  • ADHD

  • Learning Difficulties/Disabilities

 

We offer services to children with or without a diagnosis.

KIDTHINK provides mental health outreach services for children ages 12 and under and their families with a primary focus on working with parents, educators, pediatricians, coaches and the community surrounding the child, so they are better equipped to identify and support children going through mental health challenges or with mental illnesses.

Helping Parents and Caregivers

KIDTHINK works collaboratively with parents and their child’s team to identify ways of understanding and meeting the child’s needs.  Together, we develop programs and services which acknowledge that every child has a unique set of strengths and abilities.

 

Outreach Clinician can help through:

  • Specialized Consultation and/or Assessment

  • Targeted Prevention and Early Intervention

  • Advocacy and Resource Navigation

Supporting Schools, Daycares and Educators

KIDTHINK provides training and education to school teams, daycares and others involved in working with the child.  Results and goals of these collaborations include but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating partnerships and collaborating with school divisions, individual schools, daycares and other organizations.

  • Providing educators and daycare workers with evidence-based mental health education and resources.

  • Connecting community-based mental health interventions to school-based and daycare-based settings.

  • Providing educators, daycare workers and coaches the tools to help kids in need.

  • Promoting mindfulness and wellness for all children.

  • Referring and connecting children and parents to appropriate community resources.
