ABOUT POSITION:

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, this position provides community mental health support, education, behavioural consultation, mental health assessments, and evidence-based treatment to children within their home and community settings. The Outreach Clinician is a distinctive role with the opportunity to engage deeply with a child’s circle of support, offering training on various topics to bolster evidence-based strategies, thereby enhancing the mental health knowledge of families and the broader community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments.
  • Observes and assesses children presenting with mental health/behavioural challenges within their community/home environment.
  • Collaborates with family, caregivers, and community resources to implement interventions related to behaviour, social skills, emotion regulation, or anxiety disorders.
  • Provides children, families, and caregivers with mental health education.
  • Provides evidence-based treatment to children and their caregivers.
  • Facilitates community workshops centered on resilience-building, drawing from cognitive-behavioural techniques.
  • Offers training workshops in various community settings.
  • Participates in the clinical delivery of the team's services, including crafting individual service plans and liaising with community resources to optimize mental health outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in a mental health-related field such as Occupational Therapy (MOT) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed/registered with their respective licensing/regulatory body.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent and pertinent experience in child, adolescent, and family mental health.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the community-based support approach.
  • Outstanding clinical aptitude in mental health assessment and treatment of children and their families.
  • Comprehensive understanding of provincial mental health community resources and services.
  • Insight into cultural and socio-economic factors influencing service provision.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven skill in intake and assessment.
  • Proven ability to provide service consultation to diverse referral sources.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Under the direction of the Clinical Director, this position will provide clinical mental health services and mental health treatment through individual, family or group counselling. This position will work with a multi-disciplinary team that provides outreach, case management and mental health services to children and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments.
  • Provides evidence-based treatment to children and their caregivers.
  • Coordinates the full range of the child’s needs. Provides planning, linking, monitoring, evaluation and follow-up.
  • Ensures resources and services are accessed in a timely manner.
  • Provides children, family, and caregivers education on mental health treatment.
  • Provides both individual and group counselling, therapy, or sessions.
  • Collaborates with family, caregivers, and community resources to implement interventions related to behaviour, social skills, emotion regulation, or anxiety disorders.
  • Participates in all aspects of the care continuum and the child’s mental health pathway.
  • In various community settings facilitates community workshops centred on mental health and resiliency building.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to develop and enhance services, including the creation of group therapy programs, educational workshops, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines.
  • Maintain accurate records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy from an accredited post-secondary school.
  • Licensed/registered with their respective licensing/regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience in child, adolescent, and family mental health, including expertise in managing ADHD, ASD, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders.
  • Training and demonstrated skill in several of the following areas: clinical assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, play therapy and systems intervention.
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of counselling skills and clinical practice as it relates to children and their families.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health issues in childhood and adolescence
  • Knowledge of provincial mental health community resources and services.
  • Knowledge and awareness of cultural and socio-economic factors that inform service provision.
  • Ability and experience in interpretation of diagnostic assessments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the community-based support approach.
  • Preference will be given to those with certification in, or in the process of completing CBT, play therapy, theraplay or art therapy.

Fund Development Specialist Permanent, Full-Time, Part-Time, EFT Negotiable

POSITION: Fund Development Specialist

Under the direction of the Administration & Programming Manager and the Chief Executive Officer, the Fund Development Specialist will be responsible for leading key fundraising activities such as grant identification, completion, and submission as well as donor stewardship and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the activities related to campaign and event planning, prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
  • Identify, execute, and follow-up on grant opportunities
  • Lead the development and implementation of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies;
  • Manage the donor database system;
  • Liaise with and provide professional support to campaign volunteers to ensure timely and well-executed solicitation activity;
  • Generate customized campaign and financial reports;
  • Accurately maintain and oversee the tracking system on campaign activities;
  • Develop proposals and presentations to support Campaign leadership asks;
  • Manage a portfolio of donor prospects in addition to supporting Campaign leadership with their donor relations;
  • Manage all activities related to campaign meetings, donor events and monitoring of recognition and sponsorship benefits;
  • Develop a robust long-term fundraising plan to expand our base of support and establish a sustainable annual revenue program.
  • Work with collaterals and develop partnerships with community resources.
  • Develop relationship with media outlets and identify and execute opportunities for media coverage
  • Complete necessary administrative duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years fundraising experience with demonstrated achievement in all key aspects of fund development, especially: capital campaigns, major gifts, grant writing, and donor relations.
  • Direct experience working on a campaign and a strong strategic mindset, combined with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of a campaign.
  • Proven experience in prospect development, management and stewardship;
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Familiarity with e-Tapestry and/or Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present brief but accurate and comprehensive reports or presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment, maintains a positive frame of mind and sets an example of professionalism for others.

POSITION: Clinical Psychologist

SALARY: $130,000 - $150,000 and benefits package

This position is an opportunity to be part of a new and exciting children’s mental health clinic. Our Clinical Psychologist will be passionate about the delivery of mental health services to children and their families and committed to being part of an interdisciplinary team with an integrated service model. They will provide individual, family and group evidence-based treatments that are trauma-informed, strength-based, child and family-centered and congruent with best practices. They will also provide psychological assessments, have an openness to training students and collaborating in research, provide consultation to interdisciplinary colleagues and work under the direction of the Clinical Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides a full-range of psychological services, including psychological assessments, individual and group therapy with children and parents.
• Conducts family-based interventions with parents and significant supporting individuals.
• Provides individual and/or group treatment to parents and caregivers for their own mental health issues.
• Collaborates with team members on various mental health promotion and program initiatives.
• Collaborates and consults with KIDTHINK mental health and out-reach clinicians.
• Participates in the development and delivery of workshops and training for external groups including school and daycare staff, other mental health professionals and parents/caregivers.
• Participates in all aspects of the care continuum and the child’s mental health pathway.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA accredited university.
• Registered or eligible for full registration with the Psychological Association of
Manitoba.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis and
treatment of mental health disorders in children.
• Proficient in the delivery of psychometric tools and their interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and provide psycho-educational/ skills-based training
programs.
• Ability to provide compassionate and efficient support to children and their families.
• Knowledge and awareness of cultural and socio-economic factors that inform service
provision.
